ABOUT EDIN
EDIN, the
Eating Disorders Information Network, is committed to preventing
anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating and other eating disorders
through outreach, education and activism. Comprised of eating
disorder professionals, persons recovering from eating disorders and
concerned others, EDIN’s programs have served as a model for other
non-profits around the country. EDIN was founded by psychologist Dina
Zeckhausen in 1996 and incorporated as a 501c3 non-profit in 1998.
EDIN’s Programs

School Outreach:
Preventing eating disorders through our Speakers Bureau, Student
Advisory Board, What’s Eating Katie?, Full Mouse, Empty
Mouse and our Listen to Your Body Week Curriculums for
counselors, teacher and coaches of children from 1st – 12th
grade.

Community Outreach:
Hosting events throughout the community and college campuses during
Listen to Your Body Week (national Eating Disorders Awareness Week)
each February, reaching thousands of Georgians.

Research:
Conducting student survey of attitudes/ behaviors about dieting & body
image.

Referral services:
Confidentially referring persons to local and national treatment
services through our website:
